In 1950, a group of far-sighted sportsmen banded together to form the North Montour Sportsmen's Association.

The purpose of the group was to encourage the wise use of our natural resources, and promote the safe and proper conduct of, shooting, hunting, trapping, fishing and other outdoor sports.

The Association is incorporated under the laws of the state of Pennsylvania, and is operated by a duly elected officers and a board of directors, elected annually from among the shareholders of the Association.

The regular meetings of the Association are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the clubhouse, located on the club grounds, adjacent to the Montour Preserve in Montour County.

The Association conducts numerous activities and events and cooperates with other shooting, conservation and wildlife groups.

Sportsmen and women who are interested in these activities are invited to apply for membership. Junior memberships are also available.
